What about the Rice MBA program has surprised you the most?
The power of the Rice Business Career Development Office and alumni network when it comes to recruiting was a good surprise. The caliber of companies that come to Rice Business and the amount of opportunities available has exceeded my expectations.
What has been your favorite moment of your Rice MBA experience so far?
My favorite moment was attending the NBMBAA conference in Detroit. I remember being nervous and not super hopeful, but then receiving guidance and personal attention by the Rice Business CDO staff there which directly contributed to my success during the event. It was a good moment because I felt truly supported by the staff and the other Rice Business student attendees.
What is your favorite thing about and/or favorite spot in Houston?
My favorite thing about Houston would have to be the food and the variety of food. As a Nigerian being able to find multiple Nigerian restaurants and stores available has been great.
In a sentence, what is the one piece of advice you have for prospective students?
When thinking about getting an MBA or which business school to attend, talk to as many current students as you can to get a good feel of the culture and fit.
