**This represents charges for the 2020-2021 student-only annual health insurance plan and will be updated as we get closer to the Fall 2021 semester. Rice University policy requires all students to have health insurance coverage. You may waive this requirement if you are enrolled in an alternative insurance plan that meets or exceeds institutional coverage standards. Students are billed for the annual Student Health Insurance plan in the Fall semester. Please see the Student Health Insurance website for additional information.
What’s the sticker price of an MBA? Even for candidates who know their next step is business school, the financial commitment is significant. For candidates who are still deciding, calculating the variables — tuition, time, meeting responsibilities to family, work and community — can be overwhelming. Both types of achievers may be surprised at how affordable a Rice MBA really is.
Rice Business Scholarships
Rice Business is the 8th most affordable MBA in the top 25, according to Poets & Quants.
Your application will automatically be reviewed for scholarships during the admissions process. Through the generous support of our donors we were able to provide merit-based scholarships to over 75% of our Full-Time MBA cohort last year, with the average award covering over 50% of tuition costs.
All admitted full-time students (domestic and international) are considered for merit-based scholarship via all application rounds. Awards will be announced in your admit letter.
Crownover Scholars Program
Named in honor of former Rice University Board of Trustees Chair James Crownover '65, the scholarship supports students financially and provides an avenue for Jim himself to work directly with Crownover Scholars and finalists by sharing his experience on leadership success and community contribution, plus introducing students to relevant business leaders in their chosen fields. For questions about the program, please contact Jessica Krom, Associate Director of Admissions, at Jessica.L.Krom@rice.edu or 713-348-2898.
The McNair Scholars Program
This program was established to recognize individuals with demonstrated academic excellence and inspired leadership, as exemplified by Janice and Robert McNair. One recipient will be selected each academic year and receive full-tuition benefits during the two-year program as a Rice Business student. For questions about the program, please contact Jessica Krom, Associate Director of Admissions, at Jessica.L.Krom@rice.edu or 713-348-2898.
Military Scholars Program
The Military Scholars Program will provide scholarships to cover tuition, fees and expected living expenses for selected active or veteran military applicants who wish to pursue their educational dream of obtaining a full-time Rice MBA degree.
