What has been the most surprising part of your Rice MBA experience?
How rigorous the curriculum is! I knew it was going to be difficult but I had no idea just how difficult it would be. I am so grateful to the TAs for their review sessions and the Wyzant tutors!
What has been your favorite thing about your MBA experience so far?
Honestly, my team: Team 15 (best one ever, sorry to break it to all the other teams). I have loved watching and experiencing my team grow to be my family in such a short amount of time. Whether it is working on cases, exploring the Houston restaurant scene during team lunches, or late night adventures involving karaoke, beer gardens, or arcades, I have made life long best friends from my time at Rice MBA.
What do you love most about Houston?
I love how kind everyone has been since I first stepped foot in this city: n ew friends offering to help in whatever I needed; strangers opening doors and providing a sweet smile; my Houstonian cohort giving recommendations and helping us make their home our home too. Houston’s people are unmatched for kindness and compassion. The people here have made me fall in love with the city.
What is one piece of advice you would share with a prospective student – one sentence?
Have a growth and collaborative mindset, be authentic, and share how you want to use your Rice MBA to champion and uplift others.
