Brenda Rios Brombacher
Director of Economic Development, Harris County
Brenda Rios Brombacher serves as director of economic development for the Office of the Harris County Judge, advising the team on economic development functions by planning, organizing and implementing strategic partnerships. Prior to this role, she served as director of the McNair Center for Entrepreneurship & Free Enterprise and associate professor in the Archie W. Dunham College of Business at Houston Christian University. Brenda also worked as the director of entrepreneurial initiatives and community relations at Houston Community College. Her diverse career includes experience at GriffinWorx, Inc., (formerly StartUp Cup), Deloitte, the Office of Intellectual Property Enforcement (IPE), the U.S. Department of State, and the Office of Commercial and Business Affairs at the State Department in Washington, D.C. Brenda is currently a doctoral candidate in business administration at Walden University, specializing in entrepreneurship. She received her B.B.A. in international business with a concentration in marketing at the University of Houston-Downtown, and a Master of Diplomacy and International Conflict Management at Norwich University.
