The event will feature Janis Burke, chief executive officer for the Harris County - Houston Sports Authority, and Anthea Zhang, Fayez Sarofim Vanguard Chair Professor of Strategy at Rice Business.

In 2006 Janis Burke became the third senior executive and the first woman to hold the position of chief executive officer since the Harris County - Houston Sports Authority was created in September 1997. She has led the organization to be awarded numerous major sporting events. Read more

Dr. Yan “Anthea” Zhang is the Fayez Sarofim Vanguard Chair Professor of Strategy at Rice Business and president-elect of Strategic Management Society. Her research has focused on CEO succession and corporate governance of public-listed companies, and foreign direct investment and technological entrepreneurship in emerging markets (notably China).
