Our Master of Accounting ("MAcc") program is different than other graduate accounting programsRice Business has tailored the curriculum to students from varying undergraduate backgrounds. Rice MAcc students have undergraduate degrees in areas ranging from economics to music performance to English to engineering. This diversity in academic backgrounds creates a richer classroom learning experience for everyone.

Earn your degree in only one year 

The Rice MAcc program requires only 10 months of coursework (August to May). In just one year, you’ll gain both the technical and soft skills needed to launch your business career. With a relatively small amount of prerequisite coursework, the Rice MAcc gets you educationally qualified to sit for the CPA exam through Texas and most other states. You will gain not only the knowledge needed to pass the CPA exam, but also an interdisciplinary understanding of how business and accounting interact.
