Senior applicants must prove both a record of publishing in top journals as well as excellent teaching abilities. Junior applicants must demonstrate quantifiable potential for excellence in scholarship and teaching.

The Accounting Faculty group in the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University in Houston, Texas, invites applications for two open rank, tenure-track positions in the area of accounting. The appointments will be as of July 1, 2019. Successful candidates are expected to produce high-quality research in the area of accounting that results in publications in top journals in the field.

Associate/Full Professor of Accounting

The Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University anticipates having a full- time visiting position available for the 2018-19 academic year. The primary responsibility of the visitor will be to teach core and/or elective courses to MBA students. Prior experience with teaching accounting at this level is essential. Competitive teaching load will be offered to those with a strong research agenda.

Job Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in accounting or related field and an established record of excellence in scholarly research and teaching. A strong commitment to master’s and Ph.D. education as well as Ph.D. student mentoring is expected.

Assistant Professor of Accounting

The Finance Faculty group in the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of finance. The appointment will be made at the rank of assistant professor to begin on July 1, 2019. The Marketing Faculty group in the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, located in Houston, Texas, invites applications for a tenure-track position to begin July 1, 2019.
