Faculty positions in the Jones School are open-rank (except where noted). Senior applicants must prove both a record of publishing in top journals as well as excellent teaching abilities. Junior applicants must demonstrate quantifiable potential for excellence in scholarship and teaching.

Assistant Professor of Finance
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Accounting

 

  • Assistant Professor of Finance
    The Finance Faculty group in the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of finance. The appointment will be made at the rank of assistant professor to begin on July 1, 2021.  The successful candidate is expected to produce high-quality research in the area of finance that results in publication in top journals in the field.   A strong commitment to MBA and Ph.D. education is also expected.

    Job Qualifications:
    Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Finance or Economics by July 1st of the year employment commences.

  • Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Accounting
    The Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of accounting.  The appointment will be made at the rank of assistant professor to begin on July 1, 2021. The successful candidate is expected to produce high-quality research in the area of accounting that results in publications in top journals in the field and to effectively teach MBA and Ph.D. courses in accounting (and/or related fields).
