Daniel Lopus is senior vice president of acquisitions and divestitures for Hilcorp Energy Company, where he has responsibility for A&D activity, business development, new ventures, and new business opportunities. Prior to his current role, Lopus was vice president of finance, heading Hilcorp’s strategic planning, corporate finance, risk and treasury activities. Prior to joining Hilcorp, Lopus worked for Wells Fargo Securities in their investment banking and A&D group, and in various engineering and finance roles for ConocoPhillips in Houston, Doha, Aberdeen and Perth.
Lopus holds a B.S. in petroleum and natural gas engineering with honors from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Rice University.
