What has been the most surprising part of your Rice MBA? The most surprising and rewarding part of my Rice MBA experience has been the strong focus on practical skills development. I've been involved in various real-world projects, case competitions, and collaborative activities that emphasize leadership, communication, and teamwork. It's been unexpectedly enriching and has added immense value to my overall MBA journey.
What has been your favorite thing about your MBA experience? One of my favorite aspects of my MBA experience so far has been the diverse, collaborative environment and incredible geographical diversity. Engaging with a cohort of talented individuals from various backgrounds and industries has not only broadened my perspectives but has also enriched my learning experience. The collaborative projects, discussions, and networking opportunities have been invaluable in shaping my understanding of business and building a strong professional network. I am also excited about the upcoming Global Field Experience, as it provides hands-on exposure to global business dynamics, allowing me to apply classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios.
What do you love most about Houston? Houston's diversity is truly remarkable; the vibrant blend of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives creates a unique and inclusive atmosphere. This diversity makes Houston a lively and awesome city where people from all sorts of backgrounds can come together and enjoy what makes each of us unique.
What is one piece of advice you would share with a prospective student? Embrace your authentic self, as it not only strengthens your candidacy but also contributes to the vibrant and diverse community at Rice Jones.
