Auxiliary Services
The Assistant Director of Faculty & Auxiliary Administration (Thomas Doser) coordinates faculty recruiting and manages the logistics and travel arrangements for research seminars, workshops, symposia, and conferences at the Jones Graduate School of Business.
Tasks performed include:
- Manages travel arrangements for faculty candidates and speakers for seminars, workshops, symposia, and conferences, including hotel accommodations and ground transportation.
- Manages travel arrangements for newly recruited faculty visiting Houston before their start date.
- Reserves rooms and venues for seminars, workshops, symposia, and conferences.
- Schedules meetings with faculty candidates and seminar speakers.
- Arranges catering for seminars (including brown bags), workshops, symposia, and conferences.
- Arranges IT and AV support for seminars, workshops, symposia, and conferences, including virtual attendance options.
- Assists faculty with the planning and marketing of seminars, workshops, symposia, and conferences.
- Makes purchases and reconciles expenses for seminars, workshops, symposia, and conferences.
- Processes travel reimbursements for faculty candidates and speakers.
