William R. Hollaway is a partner in the energy Infrastructure practice in Gibson Dunn’s Washington, D.C. office. Recognized as a leading energy regulatory practitioner by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, he has experience representing clients on a broad range of issues in the energy regulatory and energy transactional fields, including proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. William has represented clients on wind and solar renewable power projects; traditional power projects; electric power transmission projects; and project development, mergers and acquisitions, and obtaining approvals to enable transactions. He has in-depth knowledge of project development and interconnection agreements, including his ground-breaking work on the Neptune Regional Transmission System. William received his JD, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University; his Ph.D. and master’s in nuclear engineering from MIT, where he held a U.S. Department of Energy fellowship; and a Bachelor of Nuclear Engineering with highest honors from Georgia Tech.
