Stephan Fairfield

Stephan Fairfield is founder and CEO of Houston’s Covenant Community Capital, which equips families to thrive financially and secure assets for intergenerational resilience by acquiring affordable homes, accessing quality education, managing risk, and building savings for life. His work has included developing 1619 affordable homes for low-income families and seniors; co-founding a call center to create living-wage jobs for over 500; matching the savings of 678 low-income working families to purchase their first home, start a business or attend college; and forming Raise Texas to promote statewide asset-based poverty remedies.
He has been a speaker on housing and community development for the Council on Foundations, Federal Reserve, British Urban Regeneration Association, Beijing Municipal Commission and others. He received Houston Jaycee’s Outstanding Young Houstonian and Baylor’s Outstanding Young Alumni, and his work was awarded Fannie Mae’s Maxwell Award of Excellence, Houston Business Journal’s Legacy Award, and the Appraisal Institute’s Ace Award.
He received his BA in History from Baylor University and was appointed a Harvard University Loeb Fellow. A native Houstonian, he grew up in the Memorial Villages and raised his daughters in the Fifth Ward with his wife Alison.
