Richard Gaut currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Petro.ai, a software startup dedicated to optimizing returns on capital in North American shale. Prior to this, Richard was a Vice President at SCF Partners, a private equity firm specialized in energy equipment and service businesses. During his time with SCF, Richard participated in a variety of portfolio company boards as well as the IPO of Nine Energy Service (NYSE: NINE). Richard earned an undergraduate degree in Physics from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Rice University.
