Pearce Hammond Jr. is a managing director and senior research analyst covering Midstream/MLP and Infrastructure at Piper Sandler. Hammond was with the firm from 2004-2017. After spending two years as the treasurer and head of investor relations at WildHorse Resource Development (WRD) which was acquired by Chesapeake Energy (CHK), he returned to Piper Sandler. Prior to covering the renewable, midstream and infrastructure sector, Hammond successfully led the coverage of the E&P sector as well as the launch of coverage for both the coal and the alternative energy sectors. He brought nearly 10 years of energy- and finance-related experience to Simmons gained while working for Duke Energy, Enron Corporation and A.G. Edwards.
Hammond holds a bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University, where he was a Jones Scholar. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Houston CFA Society.
