Mike King

Mike King is a partner in the Houston office of Latham & Watkins. He represents oil and gas companies and private equity sponsors in upstream and midstream transactional matters. His upstream practice includes acquisitions and divestitures of oil and gas properties, as well as farm-ins, drillcos and other joint ventures and related arrangements. King’s midstream practice includes matters relating to midstream joint ventures, gathering and transportation agreements, processing agreements, water sourcing and disposal agreements.

He is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, The Houston Bar Association and The Houston Young Lawyers Association. King’s work has earned accolades like “2022 Lawyer of the Year in Houston” by Natural Resources Law, as well as widespread recognition by publications including Law360, Chambers USA, Natural Resources Law and Texas Monthly.
