Michael Tsiros

Michael Tsiros is the Centennial Endowed Chair and Professor of Marketing at the University of Miami Herbert Business School. He is the director of the marketing behavioral lab and has served for over ten years as chair of the marketing department and vice dean of faculty and research at the University of Miami Herbert Business School. His research focuses on the role of customer satisfaction and regret in decision making, behavioral pricing, symbolic brand associations and cause-related marketing.
His articles have appeared in several leading journals: Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and Journal of Service Research. His research has been widely cited and has won awards for its impact in the field. In addition, he has been selected as a thought leader in retailing and his research has been featured in Harvard Business Review and The Economist.
He serves as associate editor at Journal of Marketing Research and on the editorial review board at Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Retailing, and Journal of Services Research. He has industry experience in market research, has consulted for several companies, and served as expert witness in legal cases involving trademark infringement.
