Michael Hanson

Michael Hanson is a managing director at Truist Securities, where he covers the decarbonization and sustainability sectors, including clean tech, alternative fuels, advanced mobility, carbon capture, and the circular economy, among others. He has more than 15 years of experience in investment banking helping companies, boards and investors with strategic, capital markets, and other financing transactions. Prior to Truist, Michael was a partner at Parkman Whaling, a boutique energy merchant and investment banking firm. Outside of work, he is actively involved in a number of Houston non-profit organizations and currently serves on the boards of The Fondren Foundation, The Kinkaid School and is a member of the Greater Houston Partnership’s Energy 2.0 Committee.
