Matthieu Giard

Matthieu Giard is the CEO and president of American Air Liquide Holdings and a member of Air Liquide Group’s executive committee. He joined Air Liquide in 2004 and has held leadership roles in various regions, including the U.S., Canada, and the Africa, Middle East and India hub. He was appointed vice president of the industrial merchant world business line in 2019 and gained oversight of hydrogen activities in 2021. In 2023, Giard became CEO of the Americas hub of Air Liquide.

He holds an engineering degree from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon and a management degree from Harvard Business School.
