Kelly Drakey
Lecturer in Accounting
Kelly Drakey is a lecturer in accounting. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and an experienced accounting professional and leader. Kelly teaches undergraduates and MAcc students auditing and control systems.
Prior to teaching, Kelly spent 14 years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the audit practice. Kelly was a Senior Manager with PwC and served numerous public and private clients in the healthcare, services, retail and manufacturing industries. She serviced various types of organizations during her time at PwC including private equity portfolio companies, family-owned businesses, as well as publicly traded global entities. She held a national tour role in audit methodology in PwC's National Quality Organization for two years, as well as served the Houston Private Company Services practice as Process Improvement Champion. Kelly helped drive PwC's audit transformation initiatives within Houston as the Market Team Transformation Leader.
Kelly holds a BS and Masters degrees in Accounting from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
