Jada Ferreira

Jada Ferreira is a Houston native who has worked across various parts of the energy industry. Starting her career in construction as a mechanical design engineer, she fell in love with the idea of how building technology could contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of the built environment. Jada worked for several years in tax consulting, identifying energy credits for constructors of energy efficient buildings. In 2021, Jada joined Rice’s OMBA program to pursue a career in strategy consulting, and graduated with an offer from McKinsey & Co. At McKinsey, Jada developed strategy for clients in many areas of the energy industry from midstream pipelines to refining to hydrogen and ammonia. Her favorite projects were buy- and sell-side diligence work in budding energy transition sectors. Jada now works at Calpine as the Manager of M&A and Corporate Development, supporting the company’s efforts to expand clean power assets.
