What has been the most surprising part of your Rice MBA?
The intensity of the MBA program and how quickly time flies. The opportunities are endless in the first year, so it can get a bit overwhelming. However, what helps is the supportive community at Rice Business and everyone’s willingness to help. It was surprising to learn of all the resources available at Rice that students can take advantage of.
What has been your favorite thing about your MBA experience?
The career treks to Austin and Seattle provided me with incredible opportunities to engage with alumni and various companies through engaging info sessions and site visits. As an international student, this was also a great opportunity for me to explore different cities in the U.S. I am also grateful for the friends I have made at Rice without whom the MBA experience would be incomplete. Additionally, I've thoroughly enjoyed the economics classes taught by Professor Natalia, and I highly recommend her elective course for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the macro environment of business.
What do you love most about Houston?
The warmth of the people around, the Rice University campus, and the endless options for food in Houston!
What is one piece of advice you would share with a prospective student?
The MBA program is going to be a tough ride. Make the most of it by being strategic in your choices and being willing to embrace new experiences
