What about the Rice MBA program has surprised you the most?
The alumni commitment to the university. They are always so willing to come back for events and share their experiences with students who they have never met. I have learned through experience that they are passionate about the growth and success Rice Business. They want to help advise current students on any questions they may have.
What has been your favorite moment of your Rice MBA experience so far?
My favorite moment at Rice so far was the professional tailgate at a home football game. It was an opportunity for me to hangout with my fellow classmates outside of the classroom environment and discuss topics outside of school. For many of us, it was our first tailgate at Rice and it was something that we all wanted to continue to do in the future.
What is your favorite thing about and/or favorite spot in Houston?
My favorite spot in Houston is the Buffalo Bayou. One of my favorite things to do is wake up early Saturday morning and take a walk down the bayou with my significant other. Especially while doing the MBA, its gives us time where we can really talk and have some quality time.
In a sentence, what is the one piece of advice you have for prospective students?
My one piece of advice to prospective students is really try to get to know each and everyone of your classmates. Rice does a really good job with building a diverse class. I have really enjoyed getting to learn about my fellow classmates' pre-Rice experiences and what they hope to gain from the Rice MBA.
