Don Woo is a graduate of the 2016 EMBA class at the Jones Graduate School of Business. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering technology from the University of Houston in 1980.
He is president of Mission Constructors Inc., a Houston, Texas based corporation founded in 1988, specializing in construction management, design/build, value engineering, and construction services throughout the state of Texas. Their broad experience includes broadcast and telecommunications, education, financial, industrial, institutional, medical and healthcare facilities, recreational, religious facilities, restaurants, retail, historic restorations, interior and exterior renovations.
Among Mission’s award-winning projects, include the Sugar Land Surgical Hospital and Medical Office Building, Carrabba’s Complex, Emery Weiner School’s Campus, the Monarch School Campus, the University of Houston Robertson Stadium and The Leroy and Lucille Melcher Channel 8 Broadcasting Facilities, Houston Baptist University Academic Center, TimeWarner’s Corporate Office, the Children’s Assessment Center in Rice Village, the Campanile Office Building in Montrose, and multiple medical and financial buildings in the Katy area.
Don also serves in many civic and philanthropic leadership roles in our Houston Community. A few of the boards he currently serves are Amazing Place, Crime Stoppers Houston, DePelchin Children’s Center, Houston Parks Board, University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Herman Hospital, The St. Christus Foundation, AVDA, The ATF and the 100 Club.
He and his wife, Nancy, have three children, all graduates of Rice University: Lauren Woo '16, Austin Woo '16, and Christian Woo '13. They served on the Rice Parents Leadership/PLC Committee for 6 years and were Chairs of the committee from 2012 to 2014.
