Brian Williams

Brian Williams holds a BBA in Finance from Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia, and passed his FINRA Series 79 examination in December 2011.

He currently serves as president of his consulting firm Southern Mecaslin Group, LLC ("SMG"). SMG develops investor-outreach strategies and conducts investor marketing meetings on behalf of startup companies--in particular in the life sciences arena. Prior to the current role he has, Brian was in banking for over twenty years including roles as relationship manager in middle market banking to portfolio management in energy banking for 13 years in Houston. He worked most of his time here in Houston at the energy offices of Natixis (formerly Natexis Banques Popularies) and The Royal Bank of Scotland plc.

He is active in civic organizations ranging from the Greater Houston Partnership, Economic Alliance Port Region to the Emergency Aid Coalition focusing on homeless-related services. He also serves as an advisory board member with Chinquapin Preparatory School in Highlands, Texas—a preparatory school for economically challenged students.
