Core Classes
The Rice Business core is the same no matter your MBA program. The curriculum focuses on foundational building blocks for tomorrow's business leaders: data analysis, finance, managerial economics, marketing, strategy formulation and implementation, ethics, organizational behavior and more. The core curriculum also includes a Global Field Experience where students work on projects abroad to find solutions to industry issues.
STEM-Designated
We have obtained STEM designation for all our MBA programs. The STEM designation is a direct response to the data-driven business environment, employer needs and student interest. Our Rice MBA graduates are known in the marketplace for broad problem-solving skills, reflecting a curriculum grounded in quantitative and data-analytic methodologies across the disciplines.

These areas of specialization — considered business school "majors" — are pathways students can pursue no matter your MBA program.
