Robert Foye
CEO, Accolade Wines
Robert Foye has been Chief Executive Officer of Accolade Wines since May 2020. Prior to that appointment, Robert joined Accolade Wines in March 2020 as Global Chief Operating Officer. Accolade is the fourth largest wine company globally with its HQ in Melbourne, Australia and is owned by the Private Equity Group, Carlyle. During Foye’s time at Accolade, the biggest focus areas has been winning with key customers in the core markets of Australia and UK, while expanding the business rapidly in Asia and the US. Accolade has been named the number 1 wine partner by its customers in Australia and UK by its customers in those markets in the annual Advantage Survey.
From May 2019 through to March 2020, Robert was a Senior Advisor, Asia Consumer Products for the Private Equity Group, Warburg Pincus.
From September 2014 through to January 2019, Robert worked for Treasury Wine Estates (TWE), a global wine company publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). Robert was appointed to the role of Global Chief Operating Officer in May 2017, which he held through to January 2019. Mr. Foye oversaw all major operating units around the globe with a specific emphasis on the Americas and Asia. He worked with the TWE management teams to drive annual results and ensure the proper positioning of the teams and resources to create maximum value for the company’s shareholders. He also drove several global execution projects including Sales. He was based in Shanghai, China and Oakland, California.
Previously, from September 2014, Robert held the position of President & Managing Director for the company’s Asia and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), and Latin America (LATAM) Regions for Treasury Wine Estates, based in TWE’s regional office in Shanghai. Mr. Foye led all aspects of TWE’s business and commercial operations across the company’s key Asian, EMEA and LATAM markets. Working with the Asian team, the TWE business in Asia grew from number 9 imported wine company to number 1 (revenue market share) in a period of four years. For the years 2014 to 2019, profits from the Asia business as portion of the total TWE global business went from 22% to 50%.
Previously to TWE, Mr. Foye had extensive experience across the Asian, US and European geographies, having held several senior executive positions with The Coca-Cola Company for 22 years. Before leaving Coke to join TWE, Mr. Foye was Vice President, Customer & Commercial of Coca-Cola’s Asia Pacific Region, a business with over 30,000+ system employees that provides a significant portion of Coca-Cola’s growth. Other senior roles held at The Coca-Cola Company by Mr. Foye include: Chief Marketing Officer, Customer & Commercial Officer for Greater China and Korea (2010-2013) and Region Manager Indonesia and Papua New Guinea (2004-2009). Mr. Foye also led the development and execution of key strategic initiatives for Coca-Cola across the Asia Pacific Region including: pricing optimization, outlet expansion, enhanced commercial and customer capability, people development and revenue growth.
In addition to more than sixteen years spent in Asia, Mr. Foye has extensive European experience as Coca-Cola’s Director, New Beverages, Europe, Eurasia & Middle East (2001-2004), based in London. During his time in this role, Mr. Foye was responsible for the Stills Beverages business for Coca-Cola in the Region including all innovation and new product activities, research & development and packaging. During his tenure, the Stills Beverage business (tea, water, juice, etc.) grew significantly as part of Coca-Cola’s total portfolio to a level where it provided half of the total growth of the business for the region.
Prior to these roles, Mr. Foye was Director of Finance & Operations for the Non-Carbonated Beverages Group of Swire Beverages (an Asian Bottler of Coca-Cola) across the company’s Hong Kong, Taiwan and China markets. He also spent six years in various roles in The Minute Maid Company (a division of Coca-Cola) in Houston, Texas and has several years of experience in General Management Consulting with Deloitte & Touche.
Mr. Foye graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas with a BA in Political Science in 1988 and an MBA in 1990. He has also received the CPA, CFA and CMA designations.
Robert grew up in Houston, Texas and West Point, New York. He is married to Kristianna and has four children, Robert, William, Meredith and Annabel.
