There are three areas of opportunity to get involved within the healthcare programs here at Rice University: seminar speaking, classroom guest speaking, and professorial appointment to teach a class.
Seminar Speaker Series & Panel Discussions
The Seminar Speaker Series is an opportunity for healthcare professionals to share their expertise and experiences among others in the healthcare network. These events are open to the public, Rice Business Partners and Rice students.
Panel discussions are held annually on topics critical to healthcare. The discussions are held on Rice’s campus and include a public audience. Traditionally each panel has three to four members. This is a volunteer based position and we will contact you depending on your expertise.
Classroom Guest Speaker
Rice encourages healthcare professionals to speak in classes that particularly interest them. This one-day volunteer experience is a chance for you to discuss your experiences and knowledge. It is a great way to be involved with the healthcare education programs at Rice. The subjects that the speakers would talk about include but are not limited to: management, finance and health economics.
Become a Professor
If you like interacting with a group of students over an extended period of time, this could be the position for you. We have classes that are held for a span of two days, six weeks or twelve weeks. This is a paid opportunity for professors to share and teach their knowledge to students who demonstrate innovative excellence and strive to be great healthcare leaders.
