What has been the most surprising part of your Rice MBA experience?
The most surprising part of my Rice MBA experience has been the incredible sense of community and support, especially in an online program. Coming into the program, I expected a high level of academic rigor and professional development opportunities, but I was unsure how strong the personal connections would be in a virtual setting. To my surprise, the program fostered an environment where collaboration, camaraderie and mutual encouragement flourished — even across different time zones and career paths.

The networking opportunities and the Global Field Experience!
What is the most important piece of advice you would give to someone considering the online MBA@Rice program?
The most important piece of advice I would give to someone considering the online MBA@Rice program is to be intentional about building relationships and leveraging the program’s resources from the start. While the flexibility of the online format is a major advantage, your success and experience will be shaped by how actively you engage with your cohort, faculty and the broader Rice community.
