Featured Class Speakers
Energy is big in Houston. We bring the biggest industry leaders to share their insights with students at Rice Business. For instance, in our Capital Themes in Climate class, we invited director of business development at Pattern Energy, Crystal Coffman; CEO of Grid United and senior advisor at Lazard, Michael Skelly; CEO of Ambient Fuels, Jacob Susman; and CEO of Key Capture Energy, Jeff Bishop for a conversation on the energy transition.
When a three-woman MBA team researched energy agency outlooks for a project in their Renewables and the Energy Transition class, the result was much more significant than the grade they earned. It was about truly understanding that “outlooks are highly sensitive to a handful of key assumptions.” That means not depending on a forecast and knowing how to use resources to make informed decisions. The women recognized that those skills will be critical in their careers going forward. Learn more about their project.
