Marcel A. Hewamudalige is a Managing Director in the firm's corporate advisory business.
He has twelve years of investment banking experience working on mergers and acquisition advisory, debt advisory, equity underwriting, and
debt underwriting across the energy industry with a particular focus on exploration & production. Mr. Hewamudalige previously worked for
Morgan Stanley in Houston and Calgary.
Mr. Hewamudalige’s selected advisory and capital markets experience includes:
- Fieldwood Energy restructuring and $480 million acquisition of Noble’s Gulf of Mexico assets
- Undisclosed $150 million senior secured first lien HoldCo notes issuance for STACK pure play
- Jones Energy’s $450 million senior secured first lien notes issuance
- Oasis Midstream Partners’ $128 million initial public offering Antero Midstream GP’s $875 million initial public offering
- InterOil Corporation’s $2.5 billion corporate sale to ExxonMobil
- Independence Contract Drilling’s initial public offering and first follow-on equity financing
- Sunshine Oilsands’ $578 million initial public offering
- Statoil ASA’s $2.28 billion sale of a 40% interest in the Kai Kos Dehseh oil sands project to PTTEP
- Sasol Limited’s $2.1 billion Montney shale joint venture with Talisman Energy
- Suncor Energy’s $59 billion merger with Petro-Canada
- Encana Corporation’s corporate reorganization into two separate entities (Encana and Cenovus)
