About Building Operations
The Building Operations team is your go-to resource for all matters related to building infrastructure and furnishings. We act as the main point of contact with Rice's Facilities, Engineering, and Planning division, particularly concerning renovation and expansion projects. Our primary mission is to address all your building-related concerns, spanning from air temperature control to key management to ceiling leaks.

After Hours Facilities & Engineering numbers:
The Preventive Maintenance Shop is on duty from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For after-hours assistance, please call the Facilities Service Center at 713-348-2485 and follow the prompts. In an emergency, please call the Central Plant Control Room at 713-348-4095.
For non-emergency custodial requests during office hours, please email jgscustodians@rice.edu. If you have an urgent need and are not receiving timely service from your custodial team, please reach out to any of the following:
