Arianne Dowdell

Arianne Dowdell is the vice president and chief culture and engagement officer at Houston Methodist, where she leads the hospital’s culture through system-wide engagement strategy, programming and implementation with key internal and external partners. Before joining Houston Methodist, Arianne held leadership positions at several higher education institutions, including Syracuse University and Virginia Commonwealth University. She began her career in television at Court TV and Madison Square Garden Network. A former attorney, Arianne previously practiced as a labor and employment lawyer. She holds a J.D. from Wayne State University, an M.A. from Syracuse University, and a B.A. from Hampton University. In her spare time, she serves on nonprofit boards, including Best Buddies International Advisory Board for Houston. Her work has earned recognition from Modern Healthcare, Becker’s Healthcare, and Women World Magazine.
