Pay your deposit and reserve your seat by completing your Reply to Admission form. You may access the Reply to Admission form through the link in your admissions letter, by clicking on the "Save your Spot" button above, or by logging in to your application portal.
In the spring, you will receive access information for your ESTHER account, NetID and Rice email. You will need to activate your Rice email address! (Please note that records will not be created until February and you will not have access to your Rice email until then.)
In the spring, you will also gain access to our Onboarding Site, which will help you get prepared for classes to start in the fall.

Begin collecting official transcripts. We require official transcripts from your previous undergraduate and graduate degrees only. Most U.S. institutions are able to send us official transcripts electronically via an official electronic delivery service. This means that we are unable to accept transcripts that you personally send to us via email; even if they are certified as "official" PDFs, we will still need them to be sent to us directly from your school.
When requesting electronic delivery, please have your transcripts sent to ricemba@rice.edu. Transcripts may also be delivered to our office by hand (in an unopened, university-stamped envelope), or by mail to:

International Full-Time MBA Students
- You will have additional steps to take care of before you join your classmates in the fall: navigating the visa process. Our Office of International Students and Scholars spearheads the I-20 journey, look for their email invitation to create your OISS portal and ask for the team's guidance if questions arise.
- Look at this presentation file for your specific next steps.

We know that you may be facing a tough decision; where you spend the next two years (and the rest of your life as an alum) is a pretty big deal! We also understand that you may not be making this decision in a vacuum. We want you to be happy with your decision, and we want those around you (your spouse, partner, children, family, friends - or whomever is important in your life) to feel comfortable as well.
As the newest member of our Rice family, we want you to know that we are here to help in any way that we can during this exciting time.
- If you are going to be relocating to Houston, learn more about moving to Houston and why we love calling H-Town "home."
- Learn more about the return on investment of the Rice MBA.
- Consider the impact you want to have during your time as an MBA student.
Visiting Campus*
One of the best ways to envision yourself as an Owl is to visit the Rice University campus, deep in the heart of Houston! We host Admitted Student Weekends over the course of the year where you will get a chance to meet our faculty staff, network with alumni, and connect with your future classmates.
Not able to join us for an Admitted Student Weekend? Start with a virtual tour of Rice University, or contact the Recruiting and Admissions team the next time you’re in town to schedule a customized campus visit.*We observe CDC guidelines on our campus.

- If you will be moving to Houston, we are excited to welcome you to H-Town! Housing and cost of living are important considerations, so we have compiled a list of helpful resources for you to prepare for your journey to Space City.
- Student financial aid can be a long process, so it is imperative that you start learning about it early. Please reference the Navigating Financial Aid page for resources and more information.
- As a student of Rice University you must have health insurance. You can either enroll in the Rice University Health Insurance plan or waive the plan with proof of existing health insurance. It's a good idea to start thinking about this early, but you will receive more information about health insurance after you pay your enrollment deposit.
- Tuition billing and payments are managed by the Rice University Cashier’s Office. Billing for tuition and fees begins around July 1 for Fall; however, you must be enrolled in classes to be assessed charges. Enrollment for classes begins in June, and the first payment due date is September 10. More information about this process can be found in the Navigating Financial Aid section.
