What has been the most surprising part of your Rice MBA experience? I had no idea just how many resources and events Rice Business offers its students. Immersing myself in these opportunities and connecting with new people through various social events has truly enhanced my MBA experience. The Career Development Office in particular, is an incredible asset and a key differentiator of the program. These resources have significantly enriched my journey, and I never realized the full extent of what was available until I became a part of it. It has been quite rewarding taking advantage of all of these resources.
What has been your favorite thing about your MBA experience so far? The people. In just eight months, I’ve met the most fun, intelligent and diverse group of individuals. The sense of belonging here is truly remarkable. From the professors, staff and fellow classmates, everyone is incredibly supportive of each other — both personally and professionally. I’ve already formed lifelong friendships and, hopefully, some future business partners down the road. I’m grateful to this program for introducing me to these wonderful people.
What is one piece of advice you would share with prospective professional MBA students? Be authentic. Rather than trying to fit the mold of what you think an MBA student should be, embrace your unique background, skills and the value you bring to the program with confidence.
