Brandon Polander
Renewable Fuels Technology Specialist, Phillips 66
Brandon Polander, PhD, is a Renewable Fuels Technology Specialist in the Phillips 66 Emerging Energy & Sustainability organization, which develops near-term opportunities in renewable fuels and longer-term opportunities in other energy technologies, including batteries, carbon capture, hydrogen, EV charging and renewable power. Prior to his current role, he conducted sustainability research for Phillips 66 in the areas of wastewater nutrient removal, soil remediation, and advanced molecular biology techniques for use in the oil and gas industry. Brandon received his PhD in Chemistry from Georgia Tech, where he researched the role of protein-water networks during photosynthetic water splitting. He received his BS in Biochemistry from Mississippi College, where his undergraduate research focused on molecular recognition of therapeutics by nucleic acids. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys rock climbing, gaming, and collecting more hobbies than he has time for.
