The Rice Business Network is a group geared towards Rice Business staff members with the objective of fostering connections between professionals. This group meets quarterly to both network and socialize and also has separate small group meet-ups for those in different stages of their career looking to connect.

This interactive and fun session led by Janet Moore (director of communication program and senior lecturer in management – communication) explored the messages that we send to ourselves and others through personal style. Participants learned how to treat their personal style as a strategic communication tool to enhance professional success.

Attendees heard from staff members with previous leadership experience in the Rice Business Network, Rice Business Staff Council (RBSC) and Lead, Engage, Align, Perform (LEAP). Panelists shared insights on serving in these roles, development of leadership skills and impact within the Rice Business community.
