Tom Carlson is a member of Houlihan Lokey’s financial restructuring group and oil and gas group. He has more than two decades of experience advising clients across the oil and gas sector on a broad range of transactions, including over $50 billion of advisory and financing transactions. His experience covers a variety of disciplines, including M&A advisory, public and private debt and capital raises, and restructuring. Tom joined Houlihan Lokey from BMO Capital Markets as a managing director in the U.S. energy group, where he executed mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raises, and asset divestitures for leading energy companies, particularly in the upstream and midstream sectors. His prior experience also includes banking roles in Citi’s global energy group and Jefferies’ energy group. He holds a B.A. in economics and managerial studies from Rice University.
