What Rice MBA clubs/organizations have you been involved in, and what positions have you held?

What has been the most surprising part of your Rice MBA experience? I was surprised by how much I’ve grown in such a short time — not just academically, but personally. The program has pushed me in ways I didn’t expect, from engaging class discussions to navigating tough assignments while managing a full-time job. It’s been intense, but also incredibly rewarding. And while my team has been a huge source of support, I’ve also surprised myself with how much I can handle when I stay focused and lean into the experience.
What has been your favorite thing about your MBA experience so far? It’s the people — my classmates, professors and the broader Rice community. I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with my teammates, who bring out the best in me, but I’ve also appreciated the high expectations from faculty. They don’t just teach theory — they challenge us to think differently, question assumptions and lead with purpose. It’s helped me grow as both a professional and a person.
What is one piece of advice you would share with prospective professional MBA students? Balancing everything is tough, but if you’re willing to show up, stay open minded and lean on your community, you’ll be amazed at what you’re capable of.
