Sadie Rucker

Sadie Rucker, president of Horizon International Group, is a native Houstonian rooted in her support for the betterment of her hometown. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Southern University and a master’s degree from University of Houston’s College of Engineering. She is also a registered interior designer with over 30 years of experience as a project executive at Horizon. While at U of H, Sadie met Al Kashani, co-owner of Horizon, where they discovered mutual visions for developing growth opportunities for businesses and generating change in Houston neighborhoods. Sadie is a member of the Houston Zoo Board of Directors and the Asante Society Committee, which supports the zoo’s core programs: animal care, education and conservation. She is also a member of Links Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Houston Sophisticates. She was recently recognized as an honoree of AKA’s Charitable Foundation.
