Director of Coaching
Ruth Oh Reitmeier is a seasoned coach and leader with over 25 years of experience developing leaders and building high performing teams in various organizations. She is a PCC credentialed coach with the International Coaching Federation and has been active on multiple global task forces that are dedicated to expanding the coaching profession and delivering quality coach training. As a leader developer, she is interested in studying the effects of early intervention for emerging leaders and works with organizations to create developmental coaching cultures that can support continuous growth and engagement for employees.
As the Director of Coaching at Rice Business, Ruth is responsible for building and overseeing executive coaching and co-curricular training programs for Rice Business students and staff.
Previously, Ruth was the senior assistant director of coaching at the Doerr Institute for New Leaders where she was responsible for multiple coaching initiatives, including leading and managing a team of 45 coaches, teaching CoachRICE: A Leadership Coaching Program, and building a bespoke program for coaching department chairs. She has served as a consultant to dozens of universities who seek to implement coaching programs for student development.
Ruth graduated from Rice University, magna cum laude, and is an active alumna who can be spotted at baseball and football games, beer bike and the occasional opera. She lives in Houston with her husband, Tyler, and has three grown children, Reagan, Avery Anne and Reece.
