Prithwiraj (Raj) Choudhury

Prithwiraj (Raj) Choudhury is an Assistant Professor in the Technology and Operations Management Unit at the Harvard Business School. He was an Assistant Professor at Wharton prior to joining HBS. He studies knowledge worker productivity with a focus on how globalization of R&D, geographic mobility of talent and Artificial Intelligence will affect the future of work. His research has been published or is forthcoming in Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Review of Financial Studies, Harvard Business Review, Journal of International Business Studies, among other outlets and has been cited in the Wall Street Journal and Forbes among other media outlets. He was awarded the Haynes Prize by the Academy of International Business in 2010 and won the Best Paper Award in Strategic Human Capital at the SMS Annual Conference in 2017.
He earned his Doctorate from the Harvard Business School where he received the Wyss Doctoral Research Award. He studied Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Prior to academia, he worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, as a Regional Business Manager at Microsoft Corporation and as an AI programmer at IBM.
