Norma Torres Mendoza
Senior Director, EY- Parthenon

Norma is a tri-sector leader with a wealth of experience across the private, public, and non-profit sectors. In the past, she has worked for the city of Houston, followed by a significant role at IDEA Public Schools as the Director of Financial Literacy and Alumni Funding. In the private sector, she launched her career at Deloitte LLP in their Human Capital practice and has most recently been contributing her expertise at EY-Parthenon, specializing in Strategy and Transactions, particularly Mergers & Acquisitions in the Oil & Gas sector.
At EY-P, she has adeptly led multiple workstreams (e.g., Operations, SHE, HR, etc.) and managed Integration Management Offices (IMOs) with teams of 10+ for major marquee accounts during various transactions. Her ability to cultivate strong client relationships has been a testament to her effectiveness. Over the past five years, she has built a $1B Oil & Gas company and led multiple IMOs for mergers ranging from $1B to $20B. Her outstanding communication and coaching skills have nurtured a culture of team growth and development.
For the past three years, as the EY-P Latinx recruiting lead, Norma has been instrumental in shaping a diverse EYP practice, reinforcing her commitment to inclusivity and professional development.
Norma is a “twice-Rice” degree holder: a Bachelor of Arts degree and an MBA. Norma also earned a Master’s degree (MPP) from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
In her free time, Norma dedicates herself to mentoring first-generation college students and focuses on Latino/a leadership initiatives.
