Nethra Subramanya
Emerging Technologies Leader, GE Vernova
Nethra is currently the emerging technologies leader at GE Vernova for their Aeroderivative Gas Turbines. She is leading the decarbonization effort in the pre-combustion area with a focus on zero carbon fuels such as hydrogen. Her core focus is to develop the hydrogen capability of gas turbines which will play an important role in decarbonizing the power generation sector and to partner with key stakeholders in the hydrogen value chain to enable a successful energy transition.
Nethra has always been active in the Decarbonization space with previous roles as a design engineer (environmental) for AECOM and as a sustainability consultant in the UK. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Texas A&M University (College Station) and an MBA (Sustainability focus) from Cornell University.
