What about the Rice MBA program has surprised you the most?
The close-knit culture and environment of the program. I’m surprised how close I’ve gotten to my classmates in such a short amount of time. It’s definitely been the best part of the program, getting to meet such a diverse group of people.
What has been your favorite moment of your Rice MBA experience so far?
Easy to say now, but definitely the two case competitions I participated in. At the time they were stressful and a lot of late nights, but they allowed me to really challenge myself and get to know my classmates better. The cash prizes were definitely a nice bonus though!
What is your favorite thing about and/or favorite spot in Houston?
All of the food options! There are so many new spots that are constantly opening up. There’s always a fun new restaurant or bar to try in a different area of Houston.
In a sentence, what is the one piece of advice you have for prospective students?
Take advantage of every opportunity that is presented to you and take the extra time to really get to know all of your classmates, it will pay off.
