Janet DeLeon Young
Executive Director, The H.E.A.R.T Program
Janet Deleon Young brings more than two decades of mission-driven leadership across Greater Houston’s nonprofit landscape. A bilingual professional and award-winning communicator, she has dedicated her career to empowering underserved communities through early childhood development, parenting, adult education and other vital social services. She serves as executive director of The HEART Program, an organization providing innovative training and employment opportunities to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Previously, Janet served as executive director of Love Fosters Hope, leading programs supporting children and youth in foster care impacted by trauma, and as chief development and communications officer at AVANCE-Houston and Santa Maria Hostel. Janet graduated from the University of Houston. She is married with a 22-year-old daughter.
