What has been the most surprising part of your Rice MBA experience? The most surprising part of my MBA experience has been how quickly I’ve built connections with my classmates. I expected strong academics and networking opportunities, but I didn’t anticipate the sense of community and support that formed with the weekend cohort. From collaborative projects to late-night study sessions and career planning conversations, the people around me have truly enriched this experience. It’s been incredible to learn not just from the curriculum, but from such a diverse and driven group of peers.
What has been your favorite thing about your MBA experience so far? My favorite part of the MBA experience so far has been the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and grow in ways I hadn’t anticipated. Whether it’s leading a team on a consulting project, speaking up in case discussions or diving into subjects completely new to me, the program has challenged and empowered me at the same time. I’ve especially appreciated how supportive the environment is — it’s a place where you’re encouraged to take risks, learn fast and grow with others who are just as motivated.
What is one piece of advice you would share with prospective professional MBA students? Prepare to have your horizons widened!
