What about the Rice MBA program has surprised you the most?
What has surprised me the most about the Rice MBA is the incredible camaraderie that runs throughout the entire program; from the students, to the professors, to the administration, everyone at Rice is eager and willing to help one another and always maintains an open door. I have made some of the most wonderful friends in the program thus far, and we all continue to support each other through thick and thin on a daily basis.
What has been your favorite moment of your Rice MBA experience so far?
My favorite part of my time thus far in the Rice MBA program cannot be summed up in one moment, but rather in an overall experience. The diversity at Rice is unparalleled, and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know those from different backgrounds, industries, and countries. I have learned so much from my classmates, and I reflect daily on how enriching that aspect of the Rice MBA program is.
What is your favorite thing about and/or favorite spot in Houston?
My favorite thing about Houston is the proximity to my family and dear childhood friends. However, my second favorite thing about Houston is the amazing food! My favorite spots right now are Eight Row Flint in the Heights for tacos and margaritas and Nancy's Hustle in EaDo for wonderful pastas and churros.
In a sentence, what is the one piece of advice you have for prospective students?
I would advise prospective students to really dive in to the Rice community as soon as they can; whether it be reaching out as an accepted student or getting involved the minute the program starts, the 2 years pass too quickly!
