Brenda Schroer

Brenda is Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Concho Resources Inc., an independent oil and gas company headquartered in Midland, Texas, and focused on the Permian Basin. Brenda joined Concho in June 2013 as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer and has held increasing roles of responsibility in the organization before becoming Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. In her current role, Brenda leads the company’s finance, accounting,investor relations and information technology functions. Prior to joining Concho Resources, Brenda was with Ernst & Young 

LLP since 1999. During her 14 year career with Ernst & Young LLP Brenda worked in various offices including Dallas, London and New York. Throughout her tenure she gained extensive expertise working with domestic and international energy companies on numerous transactions, including initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets activity. Her most recent position was in the Ernst & Young LLP national office as an Americas Oil & Gas Sector Resident within the national audit practice, where she focused on oil and gas consultations and publications. She is a Certified Public Accountant earning her Masters in Accounting from Texas A&M University also receiving a BBA in Accounting from West Texas A&M University. Brenda is an active member of her community and joined the board of Aphasia Center of West Texas in 2018 and currently serves as President-Elect.
