Bala Kumar

Bala is a Class of 2022 full-time MBA Candidate at Rice University. In addition to his involvement with the REFS Committee, he is a member of the Consulting Association, CleanTech Association, and Adam Smith Society.

Prior to business school, Bala operated his own land title consulting practice for natural gas development in the Marcellus Shale. Bala received a B.A. in English from the University of Florida and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Outside of Rice, Bala enjoys volunteering through non-profit board service and the challenge of working on his basketball game even as he ages and declines athletically.
