Alumni Reunion Committee

What Reunion Committee members do

Committee members put in 1-2 hours a month from December through February, then a bit more in March and April as the weekend gets close. That time goes toward:

  • Encouraging classmates to attend and celebrate together
  • Spreading the word by email, social, or text
  • Reminding classmates of key dates and to dos
  • Weighing in on venues and programming
  • Supporting your class's fundraising efforts for Rice Business

You won't be starting from zero. We hand you class lists, email copy and social graphics, so your time goes toward connecting with classmates, not building materials from scratch.

What you get

Every volunteer gets a swag item as a thank you, plus access to connect with the other alumni leading their own class years toward Reunion. And committee members can attend all Reunion programming for free and bring a plus one.

One class, all programs

Your class year includes everyone who graduated that year - full-time MBA, executive MBA, Master of Accounting, undergraduate business major, all of it. Once you walk across that stage, you're a member of this alumni community, full stop. We don't split alumni up by program, and we're counting on committee members to reach out to everyone in the class, not just people from their own cohorts.

One more thing: class fundraising leads

We're also looking for a few Class Fundraising Leads: the people your class already turns to when something matters, who can rally classmates around giving back to Rice Business. If that sounds like you, let us know and we'll walk you through what it involves.
